Jean-Luc Van Damme is an audiovisual producer with a career spanning several decades during which he has produced music videos, commercials, television shows, documentaries and short and feature films. In 2014, he founded Survive Films (encompassing the catalogues of Banana Films, Banana Films Productions and Chochana), which later became Happy Moon Productions. Happy Moon produces films in French and Dutch and international (co)productions in English, and also develops TV series for Belgian television. The company’s focus is on maximising the creative relationship between author and director.
Happy Moon Productions produces quality films with strong concepts based on contemporary themes.
In 2023, Jean-Luc Van Damme is President of the feature film jury at the Al Hoceima Film Festival in Morocco, and guest speaker at the Tirana Film Festival in Albania and the Johannesburg International Film Festival.
